While similar in colour and tannins to the 2006 Syrah, the newer vintage has some subtle differences in flavour and bouquet, making it every bit as unique as its 2006 counterpart. The 2007 Syrah comes from both French and Australian clones, resulting in a deep dark garnet colour. The Syrah maintains the aromas and flavours of classic blueberry, sweet oak, pepper and spice with the added bouquet of cherry and dark chocolate. Layers of supple round tannins and the fruit forward flavour which remains even after the time in the barrel give the Syrah a firm structure and extended rich finish. Best paired with a steak or a dark chocolate dessert.
